The BC Water Resources Atlas is an iMapBC application with enhanced functionality to display detailed water related data, including watersheds, water quantity and quality monitoring sites, aquifers, water wells and flood protection works. This tool presents raster data for a variety of layers.

Climate Explorer (Opens in a new Window)
The Pacific Climate Impacts Consortium's (PCIC) Climate Explorer Tool generates maps, plots and data describing projected future climate conditions for the Pacific and Yukon Region. Climate variables include temperature, precipitation, and humidity. It uses an ensemble of more than 15 Global Climate Models (GCM) and combinations of emissions scenarios provided by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). Users can generate custom maps, plots and data projected to the 2020s, 2050s, and 2080s.

Integrated pan-Arctic Snow Melt Onset from Satellite Measurements (Opens in a new Window)
Integrated pan-Arctic Snow Melt Onset from Satellite Measurements was generated by combining active and passive microwave satellite derived estimates of snow melt for northern high latitude land surface, ice caps, large lakes, and sea ice. Historical data are available between 2000 and 2009. This gridded dataset allows snow melt dynamics to be examined in a full pan-Arctic context and enables exploration of interactions between the terrestrial and marine components of the cryosphere. It provides a unique dataset for validating snow cover simulations from regional or global climate models during the spring transition period when snow cover exerts the strongest feedback to the climate system.

Nunavut Permafrost Databank (Opens in a new Window)
The Nunavut Permafrost Databank contains permafrost information for Nunavut. Information includes permafrost temperature and depth data and best practices and guidelines for building on permafrost. A mapping tool displays permafrost information in specific geographic locations. Historical data are available as point and polygon data. Additionally, users could search and select between time periods and locations of interest.
